Dalhia was on our radar for a while as we had previously rescued two previous pups, Kiki and Dodo but were unable to capture Dahlia at the same time. When she became pregnant again and with cancer, we successfully caught her. She had 7 pups with her second litter however only Nara and Maya survived and Dahlia is now cancer free.
Dahlia is a a very timid girl who is currently scared of humans. She is such a pretty girl, and would thrive now with a foster family that will give her confidence and show her how to love. She is currently very shutdown. .
Dahlia has never been in a home environment and is not house-trained. However, like most street dogs she is a clever girl, and she will learn quickly. Because Dahlia has lived on the street prior to being rescued and now fed separately in her kennel, we are unsure of any food sharing issues. She has not been tested with cats or thoroughly tested with children however, she has behaved very well with young visitors (age 9 and up). Dahlia has spent enough of her life on the streets, and now in kennel – she is so ready to spring a flight to Canada or Europe and find her happily ever after family.
